Selas quarry came under the ownership of Marble Sachanas in 2018. The marble that is being extracted is a high-quality calcitic marble with a crystalline structure. Composed mainly of calcite (CaCO₃), is classified as a metamorphic rock, which is derived from the recrystallisation of limestone rocks under conditions of high pressure and temperature.

Selas marble is highly durable, scratch-resistant, and has very low water absorption. Its natural translucency makes it ideal for backlight applications, adding depth and luxury in every architectural design. Resistant to frost and sunlight, Selas Marble is also suitable for outdoor use. Available in 4 different hues White-Gold, Pink & Grey

In 2023, Marble Sachanas opened its new quarry in Volakas, Northern Greece. This site is known for producing the famous Volakas marble, recognized worldwide for its white background and elegant grey veins. With this new Volakas quarry, our company continues to expand its production capacity and secure a reliable source of high-quality marble for projects around the world.

In 2022, Marble Sachanas opened the Damastas quarry in Crete. From this site, the company extracts the well-known Nero Damas marble, with its deep dark tones and strong character. With the Damastas quarry, the company secures a steady supply of this material for construction and design projects in Greece and abroad.
